No doubt exercise is the most inexpensive yet effective way to shed those surplus cellulite lumps and bumps. But the question is which exercise is best for reducing cellulite?
Well, it is a common belief that any exercise can reduce cellulite, but the truth is that all exercise do NOT work in the same way. The best way is to use a combination of different exercises to reduce cellulite. Let’s review some of the best exercises for cellulite:
Cardiovascular exercises are probably the best exercise for cellulite. These exercises include walking, swimming and jogging. As we know, poor blood circulation is one of the main reasons for cellulite, while these exercises stimulate blood circulation and promotes sweating which detoxifies the skin; hence they are the best ones.
Below is a list of some other cardiovascular exercises:
Treadmill
Bicycle
Hockey
Squash
Rowing
Stepper
Elliptical Trainer
Anaerobic Exercise
Anaerobic exercises are considered ideal in reducing cellulite because these exercises metabolizes fat in localized areas of the body and converts it to muscle while focusing on thighs, hips, and buttocks.
However if you are only concentrating on anaerobic exercises to reduce cellulite, remember to vary the intensity of your workout every four to six weeks. Use of the over-thigh and inner-thigh machine is also very helpful as these both target thighs and hips, which is the main area of cellulite.
Squat
Another good exercise is a squat with a side leg raise: stand feet hip-width apart and squat down as if to sit on a low chair. Stick your bottom out as you go down and sit into your heels. As you come up, put your weight onto your right leg and raise your left leg to the side, keeping it in the line with your hips. Repeat 20-25 times, alternating legs.
Conclusion
The bottom line is that which ever exercise you do, just do it right and keep at it. Your persistence will pay off!
